Organizations actively involved in Tobacco Free Volusia include but are not limited to: Volusia County Schools, Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Volusia County Department of Health, Civic Communications, North Florida AHEC, Daytona State College, Stetson University, Advent Health, Halifax Health, SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco), and the Salvation Army.
The Tobacco Free Volusia Partnership typically meets on the second Thursday of every month. Meetings are open to the public, and guests are welcome! Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) mobilizes and equips youth to protect their generation from the tobacco and vaping industries. Volusia County SWAT members build leadership skills and plan activities to help raise awareness and support for policies that benefit the community.
